What is This Game?
Lobster Life Simulator is a text-based life simulation where you play as a lobster navigating the AI revolution. Choose talents, make decisions, survive molting challenges, and discover your destiny across 3 life stages.
Each playthrough takes about 10-15 minutes. With 8 different endings (including 2 hidden ones), there is plenty to explore.
Game Flow
- Choose 3 Talents — Pick from 10 randomly drawn talents (out of 30 total). Talents set your starting stats and can unlock special paths.
- Stage 1: Underwater Survival — AI Enlightenment. Learn about AI, make your first career choices.
- Molting Challenge #1 — Answer knowledge questions to earn stat bonuses.
- Stage 2: Reef Expansion — Build your career, navigate the AI economy.
- Molting Challenge #2 — Harder questions, bigger rewards.
- Stage 3: Deep Sea Expedition — Face ethical dilemmas and make your final choices.
- Ending Reveal — Your accumulated stats determine which ending you get.
Your Stats
Every choice affects your three core stats:
- 💰 Lobster Coins (Money) — Your wealth. Can go above 100. Affects Tycoon ending.
- 🧠 Brain — Intelligence and tech skills. Capped at 100. Low Brain = danger of being replaced by AI.
- ❤️ Fame — Reputation and social influence. Capped at 100. Affects Legend and Open Source endings.
There is also a hidden 🍀 Luck stat that affects random events.

6 regular endings + 2 hidden endings. Your final stats determine which one you get:
🏆 Lobster Legend
Brain ≥65, Fame ≥65, Money ≥40. The ultimate balanced achiever.
🎓 Open Source Hero
High Fame but low Money. Your code changed the world.
🦐 Happy Slacker
Choose the slacker path early, or have low Brain with the right talent.
🤖 Replaced by AI
Brain below 35. The AI you trained is better at being a lobster than you.
💰 Shrimp Tycoon
Money ≥90. Rich beyond measure, but is something missing?
🌊 Normal Life
The default ending. Ordinary but fulfilling.
🏔️ Digital Hermit (Hidden)
Brain ≥80 but Fame below 20. A silent genius.
📱 Lobster Influencer (Hidden)
Fame ≥85 but Brain below 40. Famous for all the wrong reasons.
Talent Tips
💡 Pro Tip: Some talents have hidden tags that affect ending thresholds. "Open Source Believer" lowers the Open Source ending requirement. "Salted Fish Constitution" makes the Slacker ending easier to trigger.
Talents come in 4 rarities:
- Common — Balanced, safe picks
- Uncommon — Slight edge in one stat
- Rare — Strong bonuses with trade-offs
- Epic — Powerful effects that can define your run
Random Events
During gameplay, random events have a 15% chance of triggering before each story event. These can be good (stat boosts), bad (stat drops), or neutral. Your Luck stat influences outcomes.

There are 25 achievements to unlock, including:

- Speedrun — Complete a game in under 6 minutes
- Perfect Molt — Get all questions right in a molting challenge
- Balanced Shrimp — All stats above 70 simultaneously
